Each soft reset takes one minute and three seconds if playing optimally which I most certainly wasn’t frequently, although starting at 16384 resets (twice the odds) I started dual hunting on a copy of Black 2 as well, so you can effectively cut every SR’s time in half after that. I don’t remember when I started, but I always would watch TV shows whenever I would hunt, so here’s all the shows I went through:

Prior to this, my longest hunt was somewhere in the 16000s.
I remember over summer break while in middle school, I decided to try shiny hunting for a shiny Totodile on crystal. I literally did two soft resets and got it. I still actually have him 🩵
I bought a special flash save cart for GBC games so now I have him for all eternity no matter how many times I have to change the battery on crystal. 😍 This was back in 2007 I believe…
