Well, it’s not “overused”. It has a lot of loud fans who evangelize it (for good but - to a lot of people - exhausting reasons).
IMO the only “overused” language would be C++ because it’s the backbone of quite a lot of our software stacks, almost everyone learns it, it was made ages ago - and thanks to its age - it has memory safety issues among other issues. It’s not a bad language, though.
My job is to write C++, but I would love to see Rust climb even further in user share.
