You’re lucky. Online dating is completely useless. Tried it for a year and never even had a single date out of it. It can work (one of my best friend met his GF this way), but for the majority its just straight up a time waste. Spending an hour every day swiping on the app just for it to not get me anywhere near a relationship. Also the chats I had with others usually ended up with me having to pull everything out of the others nose. If I wouldn’t had written anything the chat would have died in records speed. This is also quite frustrating.
This is why I just gave up on it. If I meet someone in real life that’s turning into a relationship, its nice but if not I’m fine living alone.
I agree 100%! Sorry it’s been a shitshow for you. I tried it for a few months before meeting my wife in person about 10 years ago. I also had zero dates and a small handful of unproductive conversations. Best advice I can offer is to find a hobby that allows you to interact with others who have similar interests as you.
