At a recent protest co-organised by senior activists Grannies Against the Right (Omas Gegen Rechts) in the eastern town of Teltow, 70-year-old retired history teacher Sabine Ludwig said she saw “scary” echoes of the Weimar era, a century ago.
“There won’t be endless chances for the democratic centrist parties to come together and keep the AfD out,” she said. “I hope they seize it.”
This is a real nail bitter. Please Europe remain the beacon of hope against fascism.

Fuck Friedrich Merz and the CDU who may end up enabling the brown shitstain that is the AfD. Sorry for the harsh words but I am a German living outside of Germany and I cannot believe it all came to this. Seeing what crap Merz is spewing, damn. Really a mask off moment for him, I never liked him but did not think he’d be a Nazi in the making.
