Maybe this has changed since I’ve upgraded my gaming specs but I used to average 14 FPS on Kerbal Space Program and had a great time with it, docking is a nightmare at that frame rate but otherwise it’s more than playable.
Back in my poverty gaming days I 100%-ed a pirated The Simpsons Hit and Run with potato graphics at slide show speeds, I’m talking like multiple seconds per frame with around 80% frame droppage.
Nowadays I just care that it looks decent and runs smoothly for the games I play, which is mostly Civilization and Stellaris

Big fan so far, 11 hours in. Playing Linux native with no issues whatsoever, regarding bugs and the like. Regarding the UI, there are some places where the interface needs work. The diplomacy overview is inaccessible unless you’re being prompted about it, naval commanders state they require land units (they work with naval units), and the game has a general “in testing” feeling to it. Despite these minor flaws, I’m a huge fan. The new mechanics are quite fun, easy to break the game as well, from an exploit perspective (pretty sure following the tutorial shouldn’t net you hundreds of each resource per turn), whether this is intentional or not I’m not sure.
Regardless, I’m having a great time.

My Linux PC is a media server/htpc with access to all codecs. I regularly transcode H.265 via nvenc for jellyfin.
You must ensure you’re using a client that can use the codec in question, regarding proprietary codecies like H.265 you will need either a desktop client that can handle it, or verify you have your browser properly configured.
Is there a specific codec you’re concerned about losing access to?
The arch wiki page here lists all the common video codecs as well as packages to install them, assuming you’re on an unlocked steam deck these packages will work, otherwise you’ll need to source them yourself.

What you wanna do is install docker engine, which installs docker locally on your server instead if someone else’s cloud. Following this you can spin it up using a self hosted container.
If you want it to be accessible outside your home network you can set up pivpn and wireguard to access it from anywhere, just VPN into the home network and connect to immich through there.
I rolled out immich in about an hour today using this, a few days ago I did jellyfin as well. Thinking about doing xmpp and email next
