I’m surprised I don’t see Battlestar Galactica or Star Trek Next Generation here yet.

I sooo wanted to rewatch that. But I just cannot get past the special effects these days. I thought it was great when it was on, now it’s unwatchable for me. It’s like, Playstation 1 cutscenes: the show.
Oh, that sucks! I’d say just play it on a PS2 because modding has gotten easier and cheaper for it these days, but I recently priced out some options for my cousin and it was way more than I thought. Like, if you get a system that boots but can’t read discs for $30, that’s a pretty good deal! And the easiest and cheapest option is a $20 memory card from AliExpress that you can load FreeMCBoot on, and all your games. But then you have to add in the controller, and those as-is systems usually don’t come with a power supply. And you likely need an HDMI adapter. I don’t know if you can put the whole thing together for under $100.
I wholeheartedly agree with this sentiment.
I’ve been playing San Andreas on the PS2 recently. Man, I miss that era of gaming.
I don’t know. I live a good female lead. Ripley, Furiosa, Marge Gunderson. There’s so many, that’s just the first three that come to mind. Half the time when I’m playing Fallout, it’s female characters.
There are definitely bad female leads in things, too. Just like there are bad male leads. Like, Borderlands 3, basically unplayable. I never finished it. And I really want to be clear, the characters aren’t bad because they are women, they are bad due to poor writing. That game had such potential, but it felt like the script was written entirely by highschoolers.
Yeah, if anybody figures out a solution for Roku… please tell me. I’m set everywhere except one Roku stick in my basement, hooked up to my projector. The best place to watch movies in the house, the only place with ads.
PCE-CD? Jealous. I also have the rest, minus the NES, which I have no nostalgia for.
Yeah, I saw this AFTER I installed the IDE Resurrector in my slim. JFC. So much soldering. So much troubleshooting.
I have a hard time thinking of a console that came with HDMI as anything but modern.
Battlefield 1942, especially with the Battlegroup 42 mod.
I have no idea what you’re talking about.
8 is so good. And the music is great. I haven’t finished 9 yet, same issue as you with the lack of time. But I’m hopeful I’ll get back to it soon.
Ys Seven for the PSP. I have Ys VII and Ys: MoC for the Vita and Ys IX for the Switch, but there’s something about Seven that keeps me coming back.
I have one Seagate drive. It’s a 500 GB that came in my 2006 Dell Dimension E510 running XP Media Center. When that died in 2011, I put it in my custom build. It ran until probably 2014, when suddenly I was having issues booting and I got a fresh WD 1 TB. Put it in a box, and kept it for some reason. Fast forward to 2022, I got another Dell E510 with only an 80 GB. Dusted off the old 500 GB and popped it in. Back with XP Media Center. The cycle is complete. That drive is still noisy as fuck.
I know what I would do with my social credits. I’s get healthy.
Yeah, that sucks. What a pain. I’m pretty lucky, almost all my games are on Steam and run great. And for my old stuff, I still have an XP machine. I don’t have any special software I need to run at home, either. I’ve got NX on my work laptop, and Windows is the company’s problem there. Good luck with 11, I hope it won’t be too much of a pain to debloat for you.
Yeah, agreed. I had to be pulled into 10 kicking and screaming. 7 was great. I got used to 10, but never loved it. And now I guess I’m done with Windows, which is kinda sad. I’ve been using it since Win95.
My wife had to start laying her own.
