Rupert goddamn Murdoch getting screentime was definitely a low point for me.

If you haven’t read The Merchant and the Alchemists Gate by Ted Chiang I can’t recommend it enough. Here’s a PDF Link
It’s lesser known than his big hits like Exhalation, but I think it’s phenomenal.
In New Zealand we had Space Man Candy Sticks and the art on the little box is amazing!
“Keep yer feet on the ground!”
The conclusion id jump to is that they were going in there to do some drugs.
Like everyone else Journey was the first thing that popped into my mind.
Id give a shout-out to Death Stranding, too. The game is far from perfect but it’s basically a hiking simulator which I find soothing. You also carry things so you could say it’s uplifting in the literal sense haha!
Nice! I enjoy ya screenshots, looks like you play some good games!
A note on brewing potions: You only need the herbs the first time you brew any particular potion, after you’ve brewed it once it will get restocked automatically when you meditate.
We can’t blame chatgpt for the change in headline writing over the last few years, though.
I know facts about the sun from They Might Be Giants!
Lettering and background colour combo on the last pic could be better
I guess the difference for me is you don’t really watch Fight Club for the spectacle of the fight scenes, like you would in The Matrix or Die Hard. Yeah it’s got fighting in it but the action isn’t really the point of the movie, it’s about the growth of the fight club and relationship between the 3 main characters.
Fight Club and Blade Runner I wouldn’t really consider as action movies at all. You’d may as well put the Princess Bride in there if you’re playing that fast and loose with the genre.
The Raid definitely deserves a place. Id put Death Proof in there too, because I don’t think it’s all that well known.
I see what you’re saying, the tokens represent access to a finite amount of resources and creating more tokens won’t create more resources. I get that.
But if the problem isn’t with the amount of resources but with their distribution, then redistributing the existing tokens out of the hands of the greedy hoarders must help the rest, mustn’t it?
Edit: I can’t believe I’m sitting here arguing with someone on the goddamn Internet. Must be out of my damn mind
Ok but the way I see it there are 100 people and 1000 tokens. Instead of every person getting 10 tokens, one guy has 998 tokens and everyone else argues over the remaining 2. Would killing the one rich guy not free up some tokens for the rest of us?
Imagine being so naive as to believe massive wealth hording deprived others! What turkeys! Amirite?

One Day As A Lion is a 2008 Zach de la Rocha side project that’s definitely worth a listen if you haven’t checked it out.
