I literally can’t believe it took us 50 years of ttrgs existing in basically their modern form for us to find the 3 action system. Its so intuitive and liberating compared to every other game system I’ve experienced.

Yeah, it (in my case, ChatGPT) has been great for helping me along with functions I’m only passingly familiar with / trying to use in new ways.
One that I was really surprised with was that it gave me a surprisingly robust, sensible, and (seemingly) well tuned-to-my-case check list of things to inspect for a used car I intend to buy. I’m already mostly familiar with what I’m doing there, but it pointed to some things I might’ve overlooked / didn’t know were points of concern for the specific vehicle I’m looking at.
Maybe I’m just a newb, but it still looks like PNG is the goto to ensure lossless image storage.
Everything else on that list that is “better” does/can do lossy compression. I’m not sure how to force apps to use lossless compression, so to me, all those lossy-capable formats are a drawback.
Thanks for the heads up.
Saw it wasn’t on F-Droid and was going to ask for source page (to get through Obtanium), but looks like they’re allergic to android and derivates. Appreciate you pointing to references.
I need this in green text format
There is a key for — on my phone. Just hold down the - key and it pops up as an option — I use it all the time.

I agree.
The more wild version I saw of STEAM had Agriculture as the A. I also felt that was redundant since modern agriculture involves a lot of science (biology) and engineering (equipment).
Came to say Coup.
Its more card game than board game, and you do have to manage money tokens, (just a single type) but the rules are pretty straight forward with a bluffing mechanic at the core.
Can be played with 2 players, but def recommend with 3+.
Is that like Murphy’s razor?
Anything that can be true is likely to be true at least once, and at the worst possible moment?
Yeah and at least they’re creator had a cool story.
Me too. That’s comparable to my dad’s old 4 cylinder Toyota Pickup (mid-80’s, so similar era). Smaller engine and wayyyy less power so I would’ve expected the pickup to get worse than the Delorean.
Probably an unpopular opinion, but I’d love to take that as a project vehicle.
Batteries for home setup (on TOU plan, so it’d be nice to charge when rates are low and discharge when high).
Then slap an combustion engine in there that just acts as a power plant for the electric motors. It’d probably be biting off more than I can chew, but it sounds like a hell of a learning opportunity and tickles my engineering/tinker brain’s fancy.
Of course, after blowing something up, I’d probably focus on dissecting the drive train and using them motors for something else. I’m suddenly curious what the suspension set up is like. If they’ve got some crazy high tech mag-ride system, I’ll bet that could be repurposed for another vehicle (pending Tesla proprietary protocols for connecting to ECU).
But now I’m rambling. The thoughts of what I could do with those parts though.
Ninjaedit: just took a look as some of the pondering above. I forgot how silly the interiors look, so def wouldn’t bother with attempting it as a project car.
Derp, that’s what happens when you have to bounce between too many pages on mobile.
Thanks for the pointer!
Metric appears to end at 10^30, but even then, I think the better way to phrase that number would be 5,000 quetta-bytes
Tera = 10^12; Septillion Sextillion = 10^21

I’m not really sure. I think I want to find groups local to my area, specifically those that would be involved in 50501 type organizing. I want to learn about and get involved in (though I think in a limited scope) mutual aid organizing in my area.
I don’t want to say where I am specifically, but groups focused on mid-atlantic of the US would be most relevant to me.
Tried Simplex for a bit, but seemed like there was a lack of channels/groups that were both active and useful.
Can you recommend any resources to get connected with those?
The near symmetry, ah, I see weve found the true Vorin solution.
REALLY appreciate the breakdown on this.
I remember when Honey first started going around being tempted to install it, but after some critical this king I couldn’t figure out how an app/extension like that could make the money to pay for all these ads. Sketched me out and I never installed it. Real glad I didn’t.
Other guy gave an okey explanation, but to try my hand at explaining:
On a typical round of combat, you get three actions. You can spend them in a variety of ways. An attack is one action, movement (“stride” action) is one action, most offensive spells are 2 actions, etc.
A lot of classes get ways to “discount” actions. For example an early feat fighters and barbarians can take is “Sudden Charge” which let’s them stride twice and attack an adjacent creature and costs 2 actions.
The whole thing lends so much freedom and takes a lot of burden off the DM for needing to homebrew / make up things on the fly. The whole system is very crunchy though (very detailed and particular on its rules) and so doesn’t fit everyone’s vibes.
