Companies like TurboTax bribe politicians to not pass laws that would require you be told how much you owe
The more people try to “innovate” transportation the closer it gets to going back to trains. Driverless cars, for efficiency have them communicate with eachother, to accelerate and brake at the same time, for example. That’s just less efficient and more expensive trains.
What’s even more annoying is they’re capable of recommending interesting long videos, they purposefully recommend shorter videos on mobile (like less than a minute), on pc they recommend more long videos and the TV app seems to have the most long videos
use qbittorrent instead
Still, Apollo was around for a while which means it’s had more time for polish, and it had a lot more users, which meant more support, motivation, and money for development, as well as more people to submit feature requests and bug reports.
It’s good but Apollo has a level of polish that won’t be replicated for a while. It looks like Apollo, but it doesn’t 100% feel like it. Apollo for Lemmy would still be better than all of our current options imo.
Also lack of haptics, if you’re used to them
NGL, I’d still like haptics a bit lighter as they’re still stronger than Apollo. Mainly the haptics when doing swipe gestures on comments. It’s not a huge issue though. Also why is the upvote and downvote haptics on posts so… chunky? That’s the best way I can describe it. It’s weird
It’s google. They’re paying their bills just fine
