Just FYI they weren’t testing Paul to see if he is an abomination. They are testing to see if he is a human (self control) or a animal.
His sister is an abomination as she has access to the genetic memories like a reverend mother but without a formed personality being a child. It’s why the Baron is able to possess her.
But yeah Paul was a child playing god. Leto II was a god. Being a abomination did make it possible for him in a way Paul couldn’t achieve.
You must remember that I have at my internal demand every expertise known to our history. This is the fund of energy I draw upon when I address the mentality of war. If you have not heard the moaning cries of the wounded and the dying, you do not know about war. I have heard those cries in such numbers that they haunt me. I have cried out myself in the aftermath of battle. I have suffered wounds in every epoch - wounds from fist and club and rock, from shell-studded limb and bronze sword, from the mace and the cannon, from arrows and lasguns and the silent smothering of atomic dust, from biological invasions which blacken the tongue and drown the lungs, from the swift gush of flame and the silent working of slow poisons… and more I will not recount! I have seen and felt them all. To those who dare ask why I behave as I do, I say: with my memories, I can do nothing else. I am not a coward and once I was human.
Leto II, The Stolen Journals
He’s been doing some interesting low budget stuff on the side. Synchronic, Io, a bunch of others I haven’t seen.

Cutting 250 jobs while raising executive pay 400%.
In 2021 the CEO made 5.5 million. They got about 7 million in donations that year.
80% of their revenue is from google. But google encourages them to waste the money on stuff not related to the browser because it’s competition to chrome. Their job us to look like a viable competitor but not be good one.
The browser is constantly getting worse on performance, user experience, and customizability.
They have gone from 34% user share to 2.2%. So clearly I’m not alone in my opinion of the current state of the browser.
Neat. I know almost nothing about the the Higgs field.
Because this is a science thread I’ll be a bit pedantic. Mostly because I think it’s an interesting topic. It’s a mass-energy equivalence (≡) and not just an equality (=) they are the same thing.
So it’s meaningless to say convert mass into energy. It’s like saying I want to convert this stick from being 12 inches long to being 1 foot long.
You can convert matter (the solid form of energy) into other types of energy that are not solid. But the mass stays the same.
It’s like when people say a photon is massless. It has energy and therefor mass. It just has no rest mass. So from the photons frame of reference no mass but from every other fame of reference there is mass.
My old school had a scale model of the solar system. It used the same scale for the planets size and distance. The sun was a 12" ball on one end of campus. Around campus were poles with little glass domes on top inside were tiny pins with little planet models on them.
So humans vision is much more sensitive to green than other colors. it’s why camera sensors are 50% green 25% red 25% blue. Which makes sense as being able to detect small differences in plant cover is useful in both detecting predators and prey.

If humans had more flat color detection range we woulda actually be able to see that the sky is purple and not blue.
There are two main inverter approaches. One big inverter that takes the DC from a bunch of panels and converts it into AC and micro inverters where each panel gets it’s own small one placed directly under the panel.
The micro inverters cost around $150 each. So you need around 10 panels before the single inverter becomes a good choice.
Installers love the micro because the install is easier. However as a owner with say 30 panels you now have 30 points of possible failure instead of the 1.
I wanted to like Surviving Mars so much but there was something so frustrating about how they implemented the domes. I’d come back to it every so often and give up in frustration.
Having dealt with Sony for years as a engineer their non consumer hardware is a true pain. Trying to interface with some of their ccd image sensors was some of the most PITA integration i’ve ever dealt with.
I wasn’t old enough but am glad I saw it (kinda). What is old enough for that movie anyway? Has anybody lived that long?
I like musicals and still think it was pretty bad. It’s a jukebox musical which are usually bad anyway.
Almost none of the songs move the story forward. Most of them are just we are in love numbers. You get one maybe two of those a musical.
Joaquin Phoenix is a good actor and a terrible singer. Lady Gaga is a good singer and terrible actor. So every scene with them both has one of them doing a bad job.
Back in highschool my friend managed to set his family pc’s desktop to an animated gif of a woman getting a facial.
I got the most desperate phone call asking me to come over and help. I showed up and set it to normal about 1 min before his mom came home.
Fun trivia. It’s called a second because it’s the second division of an hour after minutes. You can keep going with thirds and fourths for sub second time.
In this case the class action would be youtubers and other content creators not users of Honey.
When I was about to graduate high school a uncle in law told me to make sure I pick a college with a football team I’m comfortable rooting for for the rest of my life.
Short answer you are correct it’s not worth it. The massive cost of a bigger tower and gravity turbine aren’t worth the tiny energy you get.
This video covers the basics of how cooling towers work to reuse as much of the energy as is reasonable.
It can be. Lower difficulty and phoebe chillax as the storyteller. I highly recommend modding the game. Both the common QOL mods and tweaks to what you don’t like.
Yeah. I played a truly evil character in a game where all the other players were good. We made it work with a few rules.
It wad a group I had played with so we all knew each other and liked each other.
We made it so my character was under a curse and bound to the party. He was forced to act in what he thought was in the parties best interest but could do it in evil ways. No secret backstabbing.
All players got an interrupt cantrip that acted like a stun gun on my character.
I made it clear to the other players that using the stun on my character was fine with me and I expected it. When they did use it I never got upset and would usually laugh.
Knowing when to take center stage and when to step back and let other players have their moment.
We had a great time and I still miss my undead “Wight supremacist”.
