My favorite way to scramble eggs, which makes scrambled egg snobs unreasonably angry, is to crack all the eggs into a frying pan, like I’m going to fry them, but then start gently scrambling the whites without breaking the yolks. When they are fully set I break the yolks and stir them around to coat the scrambled whites and immediately plate them. Done with pastured eggs with dark orange yolks it’s very visually striking and flavorful.
8·25 days agoI pick up a client’s meds as part of my job. It’s through Safeway, and I can’t get text notifications anymore when they are ready for pickup, I have to use the app, and I have to have push notifications turned on, so more than half of the notifications are some BS ad for safeway, trying to tempt me into buying bread or some shit. The guy takes over twenty medications, so it’s kind of a nightmare.
4·2 months agoIt’s not actually cutting anything, it’s un-joining the seam where the lid was added to the can. You pull it off and it sometimes has little glue/sealant strings attached still. It’s all smooth edges.
It’s $100 minimum to get anything delivered from the hardware store a mile from my house. It’s $20 rent a pickup from U-haul for their 4 hour minimum. I do that maybe 4X per year. I drive a little electric car now, but when I had a Prius V (station wagon one) with the seats folded down I could fit as much in there as a light duty pickup.
A Malaysian restaurant I used to go to always served crispy deep fried parsley as a garnish. It was very good, but I don’t think it would keep well.

"In the New York City PBA, Mr. President you earn the endorsement and you’ve earned this endorsement,” said Patrick Lynch, president of the Police Benevolent Association.
"I’m proud to give it,” he said in August.
But, Joe Biden won decisively in the city, putting the police unions and the officers they represent on the opposite side of the political fence from the majority of New Yorkers they serve.
