  • For people who want a console, it’s ok and their choice anyway. But the justification because of the couch feeling and because it is kept so extremely simple (connect, update, play) is simply no longer up to date. Since there are linux distributions with which you can do this out of the box even without knowledge of OS and without knowledge of the tools. The cheaper acquisition costs for hardware would be an argument, exclusive titles would be an argument or for someone with win PC + Xbox gamepass would be an argument (although it is precisely gamepass + alternatives that have negative long-term consequences for game development… Just like e.g. epic’s business method, but that’s a different topic) So there are enough pros & cons on both sides. You have to stick to contemporary reasons. Especially since the (PC) SteamDeck has made it more than clear how suitable Linux is for gaming nowadays. If MS and publishers would not put obstacles in the way as they have done for decades. In the end, everyone should decide for themselves what they are happy with

  • Oh, with consoles you don’t have to find out about backwards compatibility? Or whether the performance is sufficient with all the different versions within the same generation? But all you can think of are the same nonsensical statements? The ones with distrowatch are more likely to be people who are interested… the others are more likely to be referred to Bazitte or chachyoa in the steam forums and they use steam to play anyway (before the bullshit statement comes that would be too complicated for people). A friendly community that is willing to help is not a problem either… For consoles, have fun with the non-thinking kiddy’s filled with hate Especially since you’re just trolling because you’ve been distorting the facts from the start anyway. Since I basically argued that you can do all that with the PC as well as with a console. In other words, it’s just as feasible. With you it immediately became something like I want to tell people what they should play with… No, that’s just you You want to tell people what they should use instead of letting them decide for themselves… but your behavior shows wonderfully what you have to be prepared for… The one who is so frustrated by his bad purchase right from the start that he basically wants to goad people against the other options out of frustration without any arguments.

  • Again just Check top10 distros. There are distros with so easy GUI installation… with preinstalled packages like steam etc. So with Bazzite you have the console feeling… (Steam deck…) wanna change from desktop e.g. to the TV in the other room… Just stream it… steam link on mobile voilä the solution for people who don’t want to configure. Otherwise there is much more and also with automation… Learning more computer stuff… ? so studying for console? Cause account creation enter anything with gamepad etc is way more… Oh your paid internet yea? anyway pls pay again or you can not play online… I don’t care what you play with. But as one lie after another comes from you about PC and linux it was clear that you want to put false words in my mouth too.

  • What nonsense. Yes, there are countless linux distributions, but of course the focus is still only on a few. These can be quickly narrowed down to how much you want to take care of the OS yourself. From arch linux to Bazitte/cachyos etc. At distrowatch.com you can also browse through the top 10. Drivers? out-of-the-box or with Nvidia 1-2 steps… even the biggest laymen can manage the changeover without any problems.
Software? Open the app store and install - done… Anti-cheat would be no problem and what a coincidence that after steamdeck has brought so much growth under Linux, publishers have thought “remove check mark and disable support, leagues that it is due to linux etc pp” which has all been refuted. Well if MS … known for their market manipulating and criminal methods… didn’t let black bags wander… without games Windows would have disappeared on private computers a long time ago…

Console btw is a lie long time now… Preconfigured, extremely neutered and heavily DRM-infested PCs with no possibility of upgrading etc.

  • Logical conclusion takedown of the ROM’s and not the emulator. ROM’s can be obtained without problems, I don’t regularly read that sites are taken down or people are taken up. That’s just a convenient excuse. Nintendo just knows that their only argument is exclusive titles. Who would still want a Wii if you could use it better on the steam deck with yuzu?

I also remember that I often read that you have to organize such and such files yourself. Where then reference was made to original hardware/data carriers and not to Rom pages etc. I had problems with Zelda in particular.

We are talking about digital goods that are generally excluded from exchange. Even my little niece knows that. So lazy, stupid customer: find out on YouTube? Better not. Find out on gaming/review websites? Better not. Just google it or read at least 1 sentence about it before buying? No, better not. Buying blindly and then lining up like a toddler because you weren’t able to think about it thoroughly beforehand instead of buying blindly.

Use your brain first. Think about the money first. Be smarter beforehand. Get active before… Publishers always tell better stories… Which retailer doesn’t do that…_

Where is refund of digital goods, which must be activated or linked outside of Steam possible? With valve it is purely a gesture of goodwill. If you buy a game in a store and remove the foil, you won’t get it exchanged either. In Germany, every court would laugh at you and ask you to pay for wasting their time. Maybe you should look for the mistakes yourself? After all, you are the stupid uninformed person who blindly throws your money away. Blaming the embarrassment on the store providers is a real indictment. I’m sorry, you have completely different problems if you can’t get your act together.

  • You said it! Valve actively supports OSS and that in many projects from which people beyond games also benefit (yes, they also exist). That Valve with Proton has just made sure that MS monopoly position is no longer so secure (oh wonder that in the most popular games devs then simply turn off linux support in anti-cheat…). ). You can certainly criticize a lot, but valve gives back a lot of things differently. Just no other Play Störe alternatives because the competition only complains, offers a junk launcher with dubious methods to offer a game for free every week… ( no risk but because of fixed amount possibly significantly less the developers… besides, the money comes from fortnite addicted children ). epic ubisoft ea use dirty methods anyway and known 30%… what they are hiding is that the 30% is the case with steam keys. however, they also have the possibility to link it to their own store with their own keys while it would be listed for free on steam only they would have to do without any steam feature ( anti cheat, workshop, forum, support, download from steam depotetc. Oh and have enough servers themselves regarding downloads.

By the way, about your comparison with android… Take a look at their Chromebooks. Have fun gaming!xD
