Did it really dissolve into rust, or did your parents secretly throw away your poop nail in the middle of the night?

I’d even say add another column of “Skills to get the interview”.
Dragon Age 1: Quest 1: Here is the exact ritual to create new Gray Wardens
Every Dragon Age since: You’re the last Gray Warden! No one knows how to make more!
They have for me - albeit I was swimming in an untreated lake at the time.
Yeah, yours is hypothetical. Good luck solving entropy.
“People have died long before Jack the Ripper. If we want to prevent death, you need for the root cause, which isn’t Jack”
We’re not trying to solve every case of data disappearing, but the large influx that has appeared as a direct result of Trump’s orders.
In case it’s not obvious, the root cause of that is Trump.
This guy worships the “Turn the other cheek” guy, right?
The “love your neighbors” guy?
The “unconditional love” guy?
Just want to make sure I fully understand.

I’m both glad you made it out and jealous I don’t have a similar history with another country to move to. You’re a great parent for everything you do for your daughter. Hope the last bit of the trip went smoothly and you find a job quickly.
Convicted felon. Known rapist. Told us to inject bleach for COVID.
Absolutely I still blame people who think he has their interests in mind.
With that data collection, their algorithm for targeted marketing is on a completely different level. I completely believe they’re profitable.
Not only do you have knowledge into people who are likely buyers, you can put them into a buying mood right before showing them the ad so they’re primed for it. Then on top of THAT, you don’t have to design, film or edit the ad - you just pay an influencer to do it for you. It makes it faster, easier and cheaper to AstroTurf brand awareness than ever before.
Relatedly, the only people I know ordering things from Shien or Temu are on TikTok.
The sequel is when the original programmers die and a new team has to come in and figure out WTF their code is doing or even supposed to be doing.
It’s my favorite Godzilla movie because of this aspect. There’s a scene where I lost it in the theater when the >!Prime Minister is completely certain in telling the press that Godzilla will absolutely never, not in a million years, not make landfall… only to have an underling whisper in his ear that Godzilla just made landfall.!<
I worked for a Japanese company at the time, and could recognize that it wasn’t even heightened for parody. That’s just exactly how it is.
I understand this sentiment because I had a similar story growing up, but I’ve had to come to terms that the internet of that era does not exist anymore.
Now we have these corporations who made it their goal to algorithmically trick you into spending more and more time engaged with their website for ad revenue, not caring how angry or misinformed people get in the meantime. It used to be a place we could escape to, but has turned into just another echo chamber/prison and worst of all - we’re addicted to it.
I think places like Mastodon and the Fediverse can help bridge this gap, but on the whole, the internet is just not a safe place for developing brains anymore.
The difference is being labeled “abnormal” by a person you know vs. by society. As a society, we used to beat children who used their left hand to write until they started acting “normal”.
The thought itself that left-handedness and right-handedness are different is not harmful. However, when you start labeling one as ‘normal’ and the other as a ‘generic abnormality’, you start shifting people’s perspectives and suddenly we get a situation where we call left-handed people “Sinister”. (The word literally means left-handed. We added the evil connotations afterwards because of the prejudice against left-handed people. We also did the same in reverse for “dexterity”.)
You might not see the harm immediately in the small scale, but it’s absolutely intended to be a step towards dehumanizing queer people. As others have said as well, homosexuality is incredibly common in nature. Most giraffe sex is gay sex. It’s just not taught in school because… say it with me… “It’s abnormal.”
It’s really not though. It’s just different, and different doesn’t mean bad.
Your argument has been used countless times in history for a number of “abnormalities” that turn out to just be differences without distinction.
“Listen, I’m a supporter of red-heads, but don’t we basically understand that it’s a genetic abnormality? Maybe ‘illness’ is a bit harsh, but they’re just not common enough in society to be considered normal.”
Sorry! Wasn’t trying to complain, I literally just forgot that this type of post existed because they only show up for like a week before the new year.
Oh, I forgot that this week is when we get an influx of “If you start X at Y time, Z will happen at midnight” posts.
Do you know what happened to the gun afterwards?
Hello department,
Due to a recent policy change, the currently planned process change has been postponed. This is in part due to the new policy requiring all teams review and confirm that their work will not be impacted by any process change. Any issues that are discovered during these internal discussions must be immediately brought to management. Issues discovered this way will also set new policies to ensure the issue is fully resolved prior to any new process change. Please discuss the attached policy change(s) amongst your team and provide feedback prior to the postponed process change date. Please note that any feedback provided after the postponed process change date will not be accepted, per company policy. Any team who does not provide feedback prior to the posted deadline will require additional policies to endure promptness.
“Can you confirm if this impacts your team by tomorrow? It’s holding up the release, and management is ready to move on it.”
