Just replace Apt update with docker pull 🤷♂️
It’s really nice once it’s going, especially if you link them together in a compose and farm out all the individual ymls for each service, or use something like dockage to do it.
I went with proxmox and various LXCs for either individual services or docker stacks with several things on a minimal os (I’m comfortable with Ubuntu server so that’s what I go with generally as the unpriv LXC)
For logs dozzle is also fantastic, and you can do “agents” if you have multiple docker nodes and connect them togetherb
I would absolutely love to try them, just would prefer open source to anything being offered rn.
I don’t trust any of the companies coming out with these to not be tapping in and accessing any of the devices data.
You’re not wrong, it’s just nuts no one has specifically worked on a method of transferring digital licenses, which seems crazy considering how long steam and such have been around.
I know everyone hates Nfts but it’s literally made for exactly this kind of thing, verifying and transferable ownership
Proxmox with Ubuntu as the LXC, essentially only docker containers on it.
The biggest challenge I ran into is keeping the drivers in sync between the host and the LXC, since one is Deb and the other is Ubuntu, the LXC tends to want to update sooner and sometimes that can break the communication.
You edit the LXCs config in proxmox to do it, sec.
Edit: This guide would probably be better then what I did a earlier this year: https://www.virtualizationhowto.com/2025/05/how-to-enable-gpu-passthrough-to-lxc-containers-in-proxmox/
I run a majority of my docker containers within an unprivileged LXC, even gpu pass through and it works great.
As I mentioned in the other reply, this is exactly what is expected for the Proxmox Community Scripts
Unfortunately this is the standard for the proxmox community scripts
You’re probably thinking of LXCs, which are containers not virtual machines
Vivaldi is separate from Opera, it’s devs who left Opera after it was purchased
Pretty sure they’re talking about antitrust lol
I agree with everything you said, however chatGPT isn’t a person, it doesn’t have intent or comprehensive understanding of the implications of what it is saying. That’s a huge difference between a friend of Adam’s vs this LLM.
I also do think it’s harsh but not entirely false to say we as humans do not owe anyone our own survival, do you feel the same way about people with terminal illness who wish to end their own suffering?
I absolutely understand that IS NOT this situation, and don’t intend to conflate those situations, however this is an underlying implication to vilifying a statement such as that on its own.
I am lucky enough to not suffer from sucidial ideation, and I have a hard time understanding the motivations for otherwise healthy individuals to do so, which absolutely colors my perceptions on situations like this, I do however understand why someone in intense pain with a terminal condition should not be made to feel worse by having their self determination vilified because of the effects it’d have on other people.
It’s just such a messy horrible situation all around and I worry about people being overly reactionary and not getting to the root of the issues.
What handheld, wait no, console period can?
Most people don’t care that much to play at 90 fps on 1440p on a mobile device.
I suspect part of the issue is you’re a kbm player primarily?
Even on desktop PCs, you need a relatively recent gpu to play at that level, one of those gpus is almost the entire size of the deck lmfao
Yeah this one was the worst I saw, eeesh.
I was reading it sporadically through the day, so I wasn’t intentionally only showing less bad examples, this one is pretty damn bad.
It’s from the link you shared, just further down the document
Because the model is trained on old information, unless you specifically ask it to search the internet
Idk most of the time I just dcpull dcup (aliases ftw)
Ofc had some stuff break occasionally if there’s a breaking change but the same could happen through apt no?
I prefer it to dependency hell personally lol
