Money makes things possible, people will do things they love for the passion of it, but without enough money it isn’t feasible. It’s capitalism, folks

Google is garbage for everything, the only thing google still has that I like is youtube and the very moment there is a decent alternative for me I’m gone. Here’s the AI I used’s summary
I particularly like that it shows it’s sources so I can easily fact check the summary and use the source if I need it.
lmao that’s a funny way to put it. I honestly have no clue about outgassing, I’ve worn glasses my whole life and I don’t recall ever having issues. I also have no allergies or sensitivities whatsoever though. My partner is sure that it’s just eye strain or adjusting to the new “biome” of stale air you have for your eyes now, she just got a pair after needing them for years and she had a lot of trouble adjusting to them and still never wears them all the time.
I never would have thought of burning as a way to describe it but I looked it up and apparently it is a fairly common concern if you never wore glasses and got a large prescription, the glasses focus the light in on your eyes and your eyes aren’t used to that. I actually do have trouble in daylight cause of my extreme prescription and never thought it could be possibly related to the glasses, I just thought it was that way due to my silver irides.
I figure you’d also have a rash if it was a sensitivity strong enough to make your eyes burn, but the only other things I could think of I feel you’d already have figured out… Not blinking enough cause no wind on your eyes to help trigger blinking, eyelashes getting in your eye, or eye fatigue from the correction and not taking breaks to look at something far away…
this is too cute
Steam said my partner was ineligible, so no, steam gets final choice. 😢
It’s like the meme, is there someone you forgot to ask?
Oh hey, it’s Ted the bug. :)
I am sure there are instances I have forgotten, there is definitely a certain amount of bigotry, it’s not hard to find classism, sexism, and ableism as usual for the internet and I am sure I have come across racism too but I don’t remember any specifics.
12 for sure, I just want to be hit on by Riker.
I’ll cry with you trashboat, we’re on the same… trashy boat, as it were.
Thanks for the complete rewriting of my comment to clearly show my exact nature.
Why are you upset, and what’s with the continued harassment over nothing that matters to you? Something @[email protected] already showed me was really true, to my original disbelief…
Okay, that’s kind of unnecessarily mean.
huh, I thought it looked fake, like photoshopped…
Do y’all really think this is a real image?
Edit: since people don’t follow the chain and see I was informed it was real… I now know it is real and that’s cool. Don’t be a bully like @[email protected]
Because then it’d be a romantic tragedy.
I just started using it today after seeing a comment on it, it may have been yours and it seems fantastic, I took a look at their demo searches and it reminded me of old google while still keeping elements from new google I find useful, and being able to disable or disable any feature I want is amazing.
I haven’t dug in too deep on making my own lenses yet, since they had some very sensible defaults (I mean seriously they have a default lemmy/fediverse lens) but that feature seems incredibly cool and useful if I want to set up something to easily search a variety of niche, focused websites on a subject I want to search on a regular basis.
I was worried about it not featuring conversions/math stuff but prepared to use WolframAlpha for that, but it included them, the only thing is oddly after providing the answer to my test math query of 88+17 it showed search results from the quran and the bible lol. But I suppose that was just a minor oddity.
Currently playing fallout New Vegas modded on Linux! Of course if you already did it, remodding and transferring the saves would be frustrating, but it is actually pretty simple once you learn how to use Steam Tinker Launch.
I’m sure it would be pretty simple to put a simple code in the pixels of the image, could probably be done with offset of alpha channel or whatever, using relative offsets or something like that. I might be dumb but fingerprinting the actual image should be relatively quick forward and an algorithm could be used to detect it, of course it would potentially be damaged by bad encoding or image manipulation that changes the entire image. but most people are just going to be copy and pasting and any sort of error correction and duplication of the code would preserve most of the fingerprint.
I’m a dumb though and I’m sure there is someone smarter than me who actually does this sort of thing who will read this and either get angry at the audacity or laugh at the incompetence.
Personally if I’m talking to anything that has any degree of intelligence or sentience I use kind language. Not only does every living thing deserve it, but it also is just nice for me in the moment too. It’s like a feedback loop of kindness, what goes around comes around, and I like feeling like a good person and seeing the reactions to that kindness.
Besides, my personal belief is everything has value and consciousness and we are all a part of the same consciousness, so in a way I also see it as being nice to myself in the end.
Honestly sounds like a disaster, what stops someone from controlling information by aggressively seed-boxing their chosen agenda?
