  • Hopefully all 3 but as the other poster said, Nazis really were clowns.

Sure, Hitler had some early successes militarily - combined arms blitzkrieg was a new deal and effective - but it’s not like that won the war. Besides which there is just so much dumbass occult bullshit going on in the background with the Nazis like you would not believe.

You don’t need to be smart or super competent to get a bunch of people killed. You just need enough people willing to pull the triggers and for the rest of the people to go along. Going along is easy until it ends with shit like the Holocaust.

  • I will vouch that even without the Phantom Liberty expansion Cyberpunk 2077 is fantastic. Phantom Liberty is awesome though, the story is intriguing and the new area is really well done. Everytime I visit Dogtown in that game I’m always like “damn this place is a fucking trash warzone,” the devs really nailed the vibes.

Anyways absolutely amazing game, and it’s half off it probably won’t go below half off for another year I’m guessing. Like you, I got into it after some major updates so I didn’t experience all the crap at release - to me the game is a masterpiece.

  • Yeah, no judgment but it sounds like it definitely comes down to lifestyle choices. For example, renting a place vs living in the camper. Hauling vs delivery and stockpile.

Obviously the choices you make and life you live are your own and valid. Sometimes I wonder how much of a problem and stress on the planet my life in suburbia is. I need to have a car to just survive. It’s all my choice and the wife too of course but I do feel like a hypocrite many days of my life.

  • I’m not down voting you and I applaud chasing your dreams, but a well paying, stable, fully remote job is not something to give up lightly.

Maybe that’s why people are down voting you? Not that they should but people be people.

Personally, I’m just some schlub on the internet, but I’d strongly advise you to reconsider leaving that kind of financial stability. At the very least you’ll need a pretty good amount of money saved up to live off of. Most indie games aren’t successful, most indie game companies fail. There’s a gigantic risk for you and a huge lost opportunity cost (your income & benefits, particularly benefits like health insurance if you’re in the USA) just to get started and on top of that you have to make something people want to buy.

Not doubting your talents but people would kill to be in your spot (remote, well paid, full time) - I’d think long and hard about the risk you’re accepting.

I do, however, wish you well and hope you succeed beyond your wildest expectations! Just something to chew on.
