That’s good to hear. Hopefully the demo makes it to consoles as well.

From the videos I’ve seen I’m interested Unfortunately I’m only on XBSX so I’ll have to keep my fingers crossed that they bring it to consoles. They said that they are going to buy will be day and date or later on?
You really should.
Just for a bit of clarification I’m not talking about forcing them to do anything This is simply from a consumer standpoint, my wish I guess.
I can understand what you’re saying with none of them needing sequels. Invaded that definition yeah sure none of them need them. But I would very much want a sequel to bastion and transistor. And if that puts me in the minority as far as that’s concerned I’m okay with that. I’m not going to boycott their team because they don’t make a sequel by any means.
They’re obviously a developer that I would be interested in anything new that they put out. But both bastion and transistor were two of my all-time favorites from the indie scene. And I would really and truly love to revisit both of those worlds in a sequel.
And to be honest I had the same feeling when I played Hades. I felt more like I was dependent upon getting certain modifiers and weapons together otherwise I just was not going to make any progress. And I don’t think that’s a critique of the game itself it’s 100% in my abilities to play that sort of game. And from a personal taste standpoint my personal taste go towards bastion and transistor.
Fair. I guess enjoy my clip and maybe watch a let’s play?
Devs, yes. Publishers, not so much.
On the one hand I hate hearing about people losing their jobs. I dislike people not being able to have an opportunity to support themselves. On the other hand any and all trouble for EA makes me happy. I long for the day they have to sell off their studios and their CEO has to try and not be remembered as the guy that killed the golden goose for investor capitol.
It’s time that investors stop looking at video games as a get rich quick opportunity. And trying to turn it into the new cubicle farm. Sandfall and a lot of other smaller devs are proving that a small team of generalists are able to do better work than these huge and bloated monstrosities that EA and its kind have become.
Also they pretty much show with this and several other cancellations that they cannot fathom a business model that doesn’t rely on predator monetization.
I enjoyed that the game seemed to try and make it so that every play style felt equal. Stealth archer didn’t seem like “easy mode”. The visuals while not the peak of fidelity, were very interesting to look at. The world building drew me in quickly, and kept my attention. In the end it succeeded where a demo should, it made me want to get the game.
I played the demo a few weeks ago and I was pleasantly surprised by it.
Agreed, but even with managed expectations it’s a balancing act. Both from the players and the DM. Everyone is trying to get something out of their experience at the table, and it needs to have give and take. Murderhoboing just seems like the most selfish thing a player can do. It takes away from everyone else involved. You destroy plot hooks from other players, derail the story from the DM, sabotage combat for the combat players, outright deny roleplay for the RP players, and disregard a DMs crafting. I can even ‘understand’ spotlight hogs. But murderhobos seem to only get enjoyment from denying others.
I am so sorry you had to endure that. I’m all for combat. And I do enjoy when my DM crafts a session with it in mind. But to just, hijack(shit all over) the story the DM has made just doesn’t sit well with me.
Drift well taken.
I can appreciate a Venture Bros reference.
OG Xbox and early 360s XBL era was a wild time to be alive.
I think you’re trying to align the Muppets to what their personalities would be. Instead pick against type. Or as their off type. Gonzo has been the narrator in almost all the muppet versions of movies. So he’d be great at telling stories and winning over NPCs as a Bard.
I hope the demo comes to consoles as well I really want to try it out.
