I don’t think there’s been a turn based game that has sold as well as BG3 in a long time. They’re just chasing trends. Something like XCOM is a better comparison in terms of gameplay and style, but doesn’t have the sales that BG3 has.

I knew that the success of BG3 would have an impact on the industry, it was only a matter of time. This sounds fun.

Don’t eat from the can. The inside of the can is lined with plastic, so if you heat the can itself the plastic will leach into your food.

I don’t. At least not anymore. I used to have a 40 hour, Monday through Friday job, but I had to find something else or I would’ve ended up having a breakdown. I’m autistic, and my life has been a series of periods of trying to be the person society wants me to be, failing, and then spending several years burnt out and unable to function before repeating the whole process. If I hadn’t been able to live with one of my parents during those burnout periods I would’ve likely ended up homeless.

I’ve found that I simply cannot work 5 days a week. Even 40 hours over 4 work days will eventually burn me out. So I found a job that offers 12 hour shifts, and I work weekends. I pick up one or two shifts during the work week when they’re available. I average 32 hours a week.

It’s unarmed security, and it works for me, even though it doesn’t pay well. I’ve just accepted that I will be poor, and my life is much better this way. Capitalism has brainwashed us into believing that money is more valuable than time, and there’s something wrong with you if you can’t match what is expected of you.

Alan Wake 2 has great voice acting. I think the main character is just naturally more subdued and when compared with the theatricality of BG3 it just seems worse if you’re expecting that style.

I’ve even been having trouble telling the difference between Super Resolution 4 and native. Driver level upscaling this good is a game changer, I might not even have to deal with optiscaler.

It could be that people are uploading the images they find as jpeg (compressed) rather than png.

Aww yes, the “I saw a bad horror movie so it’s all bad and needs to go away” schtick. Horror as a genre tends to have a larger number of bad movies in it because they are notoriously cheap to produce. But being cheap is part of the reason the genre has so much charm amongst its fans, and also how it sometimes attracts genuine talent.

Horror makes up 90% of the movies I watch. If people can’t find good horror, that’s on them. It does exist.
