Freedom doesn’t come freely, it has to be fought for, hard, time and time again.

In a democracy, however flawed it may be, politics are still the result of a large part of the population’s will. Which is strongly influenced by propaganda of course, and without much thought of all the consequences that it may have, but still. Protest against these politics can come in many forms, depending on how strongly people are affected by it, never mind how exhausted people think they might be.
Then there’s also the military, does anybody here have any insight how they feel about the recent political changes that have been carried through?
Calling for action. Could also be directed to Europeans btw, with obesity and fascism also growing hand in hand there.
On Mastodon I have no trouble interacting with other users there. I have 2 accounts running on different instances - one global and one local. No trouble at all finding an account on either of them.
That would most probably be Switzerland. Perhaps a referendum can be set up to change that?
Just get a Fairphone, with every module screwed into place. Except the battery, you can just take that out by hand.
Yeah sure, they’ll probably also have typed all posts on Lemmy, including those that have not been posted yet.
What if the monkeys evolve to higher intelligence as time passes by?
Puffballs not to be mistaken for earthballs, which are poisonous. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scleroderma_citrinum
That’s no way to behave as a guest.
They’re still fairly cheap in Europe and I really looked forward on getting to see their content a couple of years back, but now it looks like most of it could just as easily be shown on another platform like Disney or Netflix. There’s no real depth in most of it. I’ll keep hanging on watching shows like Insecure, but I wonder whether I’ll keep the account in future.
What’s confusing about Mastodon? Just join a random server and you can find everyone else on any other server. (Or are these called ‘instances’? I don’t know or care, fact is it works without problems.)
When only the bad things of something are reported it is biased by default. Better to have a more balanced story, which will probably be more boring because of that. A lot of people would then not be interested anymore because of the lack of controversy.
Not acceptable at all. But bringing a cat would be just fine.
I meant that Europe is moving in the same direction as the US is, with fascism on the rise again. European leaders are now merely reacting to what the US leaders are doing in terms of tariffs, which will increase costs and inflation for both the internal markets.
When you see your country as more important than (people in) other countries in the rest of the world, that’s just short-sighted and unjustified.
