Giving it a replay on realistic mode, it’s good fun! I like not fast traveling, and having to figure out where you are by actually reading the map is fun.

It has its jank, and the silly macho-vibes suck, but it’s a really interesting and unique game. Try to lean into its oddities, they actually work quite well when you give them a chance. The saviour schnapps saving system is not that punishing, but it does mean you either have to commit your early economy to saving/stealing schnapps or accept that you will fail quests and die in combat without being able to quickly reload a recent save.

Ultimately, I enjoy games that force me to take failure seriously, but that’s a matter of taste. It does make riding through the woods pretty intense with the threat of getting ambushed.

Try to use the combat skills you’ve unlocked instead of spamming thrust.

General combat advice:

• Train your battle skills with Bernard(?) at the training ground. Both to get some XP and to learn some important moves other than spamming thrust.
• Master stroke (?) is a really useful riposte move which will make things a lot easier.
• In general, avoid taking on more than one opponent until you’re well-armored
• Use the right weapon, ideally a type you’ve both trained with and which is effective against your type of foe, e.g. warhammer for armoured foes.

I’ve bought each of the three latest Hitman titles on Steam exactly once at regular video game price and gotten all the content of each game, plus freely received the collection of all that content in the “World of Assassination” consolidation. Plus the free and amazing rogue-like expansion taking place across all maps from all games.

Seems like a really good deal to me.

I won an Xbox 360 a long time ago from a Coca Cola competition. You had to use codes from the bottle caps and then quickly answer some quiz questions correctly. But you had unlimited tries. So I just kept clicking random answers quickly until I got all questions right at a ridiculously low time.

Good times. Borrowed Guitar Hero, LA Noire, Batman Arkham Asylum and Red Dead Redemption at the library, had a blast.

Tunic has an incredible mystery element, with many layers and a very satisfying conclusion. The combat is juicy enough but still pretty forgiving, and the meta-narrative of playing that’s “already been played” is very interesting and nostalgic. Highly recommended!

Was the same with the first Hitman

Isn’t the point to get bacteria off your hands? Isn’t it better to have them in the air than on your hands?

It’s a lot more likely I’ll eat something I touched than something that’s been sitting in bathroom air.

Wasn’t he more criticizing the scale? Like, a sith warrior is great, but he can’t really compete with the power of the Death Star when it comes to sheer scale. Just ask Alderaan.

Arguably it is better than mining for coal, lithium, etc. since those have similar issues, but one gram of uranium contains energy similar to 3 tons of coal.

Fairly so - it isn’t emissions, and does not contribute to the problem in a meaningful way.

The reason why emissions are dangerous is because they trap solar heat at large enough scales to change the global climate. Server farm heating isn’t really anywhere near contributing at that scale.

I found the lines poorly written, the narrators not very convincing, and the whole concept limited and simple. It’s likely that something better comes along further into the game, but it really didn’t pull me in.

It always fascinates me that people can have such different experiences. I’m really happy you found your perfect game, wish I could see it like you see it!

I’m somewhat nostalgic about parts of it. It clearly had a much wider impact on society than the AIDS outbreaks, and many people didn’t end up with anyone close to then dying or with any serious long term effects.

To lots of people it was just a time of staying home and trying to work that out. At least in the parts of the world I was.
