The difference being that a lot of millennials know how to figure out how to do stuff on computers by doing basic research. I’ve found a lot of my Gen-z friends to be more helpless in that regard.

The hardest years are still ahead of you. I have ADHD and was undiagnosed until junior year of high school. I was doing amazing in school until things started getting hard enough that I couldn’t just rely on my current knowledge and had to actually study. Make sure she develops strong study/organizational habits now before she gets into high school, because that’s when things can really start to fall apart. It sounds like you are already doing a great job, and more than my parents did at that age, so you might have far less of an issue.
That’s a hilarious take seeing as most of “the elite” want us to completely ignore it and act like it doesn’t exist.
I’m amazed no one has mentioned Susie/Eddie Izzard yet. Their sets are rather old at this point so I shouldn’t be too surprised, but they are all great and I highly recommend them, especially if you are into history at all.
I feel like it’s even bigger than that. Since the AI boom it’s become increasingly clear that our society has completely devalued humanity as a social concept. Companies acting like it’s terrible to ever interact with another human. Schools acting like teaching is something to be automated. Dating apps trying to integrate AI to message people for you. Our society is going insane.
Seriously. Teachers aren’t just some machines spewing out lessons. They are meant to be a trusted adult in a kids life. Someone they can learn social norms from and someone they can go to if they need an adult they can trust that isn’t their parents. I can foresee kids who go to this school having a much harder time getting away from abusive parents.
With Microsoft it can sometimes be really hard to tell if it was the devs, management, or both tbh.
Yes, we have failed far more than that.
Maybe they will start/already have putting pokemon in locations that they need data for to make a more comprehensive map.
I share a lot of those albums in my top listens! I highly suggest any album by the Avalanches (there are only 3.) Start with Since I Left You, then Wildflower, then We Will Always Love You. They’re a group from Australia that kinda popularized Plunderphonics. Where they just bought a TON of old records and made songs purely from samples. Since I Left You is an amazing album that is pure samples, easily over 1000 samples were used.
Agreed except for the archaic rating system for video games. Gonna tell full adults they can’t handle seeing a drug in a game that’s called by its real name? That’s pretty ridiculous.
I just set the track pad to be like a mouse and the R1 and R2 to be left and right click and it’s the best way to play it imo.
That all sounds pretty fair. I haven’t watched many of those videos you’ve mentioned but I certainly have noticed times where it feels like she is stepping outside of her expertise. And totally agree on Kurzgesagt. I feel like they are one of the more reliable science channels on the platform.
Care to explain why?
Games have been around 60 dollars for over 30 years now. Not sure what you’re on about. If they had gone up 10 bucks with each console generation they would be like 150 at this point.
Okay then there should be no reason to spread misinformation about it.
While I agree with most of your statements, the RTGs that NASA uses (assuming that’s what you are referring to) don’t really have much of a connection at all to Nuclear power plants. They are very useful for small scale projects like rovers but really have no commercial uses for anything near people. Plus I think NASA generally prefers solar power whenever they can use it as it’s far cheaper and safer to get into orbit.
I’m pretty sure over history mosquitoes have killed far more people than people have.
They are also deflating it by providing services that developers would otherwise have to spend time and money on to develop themselves.
That’s the joke…
