Well, in some European countries you could load your car while at work or grocery shopping.
Depending in your commute this could just be enough.
Anyhow: the prices and (country-specific) loading network might be show stopper. Many other things are just habit and/or subjective convenience.
Yea, you are describing leasing, which is a totally different thing.
If you would try these shenanigans in a regular contract, your company would be a) sued to the ground b) don’t sell one car…
I suppose only US buyers can be gutted that way
1Blocker and a pihole at home.
You might want to take a look at the place the development takes place github.com/Memmy-App/memmy . They use the platform to also procure a list of issues they discuss an work along.
Be aware: anybody could suppose a Feature using that issue board. If this is too technical, the readme supposes to engage with the devs in this community or via discord.
Honestly, idk. But he made the current woolly icon and outdid himself with an additional apollo logo.
He really meant that and If your are not at least considering http://yannicklung.com for the gig he is a little bit disappointed 😉
I am more than willing to also invest in „just their time fun projects“ if that keeps the motivation high.
Besides: they might need to include other APIs $$$ have future or hidden costs for hosting or want to pay for media (logos) or licenses and whatnot. Or simply afford actual testing devices instead of simulators…
Long story short I would embrace paying for the App, be it one-time or recurring.
Understandable.
I belive that with all the new apple magic it is actually a low effort to make something multiplattform. I just re-installed the fabulousIce cubes App for mastodon, which code base is also a good reference for best practices.
However, you might want to consider opening a way for donations… I believe, you should be able to at least access all testing devices needed. Maybe a community effort could help with that.
Will give it a try. Thanks for open sourcing it!
There are still milder ways for being cross platform… using certain frameworks or languages are pure self hatred 🥹
There are two candidates called mlem and memmy, which are currently available through TestFlight .
Or simply an unintended error when pulling the plug.
You can point your domain on any hoster like mailbox.org. There are a lot of benefits at not hosting your own mailserver.
