To be fair, the hardware is excellent. Overpriced as hell, especially considering that you can’t upgrade it yourself and the prices Apple charges for RAM and storage are ridiculous, but you can’t really argue with the quality. The locked-down, inflexible software and basically forcing you buy into the whole ecosystem if you want your devices to work together is the issue.
It did. Boring bounty hunting that sends you to the same five dungeons on repeat, but bounty hunting nonetheless.
Pretty sure Creation Club downloads are just normal plugin files, no cracks should be needed to load them you just need the files from somewhere.
Without having to re-buy the game, yes. I’d even be willing to pay GOG a bit of money for the cost of hosting the files etc, but I’m not paying Bethesda twice. That’s just rewarding bad behaviour.
Because Bethesda games are exclusively single player and offer absolutely no way to decline updates. If they had the old version available as a “beta” or (even better) if Valve stopped dying on the “every game must be updated before launching it even single player games because fuck you” hill there wouldn’t be any outrage.
The hardware team made a device that just couldn’t be turned into a good product no matter what the software team did. None of those AI-in-a-box devices are good products because they simply don’t have a reason to exist. Everything they can do, phones can do. If you have a phone, you don’t need one of those AI boxes, however if you buy one of those AI assistant things, you’ll still need a phone (which, again, can completely replace the AI box with no loss in functionality).

It’s fairly common for CRPGs to give you full control over your party and their builds. I’m pretty sure you could in the original Wasteland (I’ll admit I never played it), which was a game that heavily influenced Fallout.
It’s less the age and more that they just plain don’t play well. They always feel like you’re supposed to be in control of a full party but you never are, even once you finally get companions they’re AI controlled (and it’s not even a good AI).
One individual action is. Ten thousand are not.
uBO can bypass it too, if you don’t want to have to deal with old.reddit on mobile.
Because phones got expensive. If a teacher confiscates a phone and drops it/it gets stolen from them, who’s going to pay for it? At least that’s the explanation my teachers gave around 2010 or so, when they announced they’d no longer confiscate phones.
They intentionally decided to reinvent the wheel instead of using and contributing to ActivityPub. I wouldn’t get my hopes up.
Wikipedia is run by a nonprofit. They don’t monetise volunteer contributions and they don’t paywall the knowledge on their site, they run on donations. It’s not really a comparable situation.
Do they pay the people who answer the questions? I genuinely don’t know. But if they don’t then, yes, it is scummy to just profit off of someone else’s work and not pay them.
They said the same thing about video games, TV, heavy metal, comic books and rock music. Crazy people exist, crazy people have always existed, and crazy people will always exist. Society has always been able to cope.
The monetised fomo events are why I pretty much stopped logging in. If a game offers me to pay to not play it, I’m just gonna not play it and keep my money.
A truly shocking number of people don’t use any form of adblock. I doubt that driving off the adblock users will have a significant effect on viewership (and even if it does, why would Google care, it’s not like we’re making them money).
