I think Nintendo first party games are great. And I certainly don’t think they’re losing money… the Switch has the most global sales of any current console by a lot. In fact, the PS2 is the only non-Nintendo console to have sold more.

I don’t think Nintendo loses money on their consoles. With the original switch, and this switch 2, they specifically went with old and slow hardware to ensure the margins work out.
The switch from proof of work to proof of stake in ETH right before the 40 series launch was the primary driver of the increased availability.
What about non steam games? Maybe I’m in the extreme minority, but my most played games are things like Microsoft Flight Sim, DCS, Star Citizen, Elite Dangerous, which not only have their own launchers etc (one of which is tied directly to MS), they also require peripherals… sometimes lots of em, that have config and/or telemetry software that is all built in windows.
Dang, and I thought I was late to the party when I did my first play through in 2004.
I thought the same thing as I read this. Makes me think it’s gotta be him
Petting a blue ring octopus could definitely be a once in a lifetime event!
Game over, man!
I wonder how they taste sautéed in butter and garlic…
I know the mini has been around forever, but I just don’t understand the use case for this product in today’s world.
The air is similarly capable, only a few hundred more, and not tied to a power cord/ monitor/ desk. As someone who owns a lot of Apple devices, and usually doesn’t need much of an excuse to buy more, this one still eludes me
Andor, Mando season 1, and Rogue One. Those are the only Disney produced Star Wars content worth a watch.
The prequels are bad… but not in the same way the Disney stuff is bad. Their main flaws lie in dialog and acting. You can see that Lucas had a story he wanted to tell, it was interesting… It just needed another couple rounds of polish (by someone other than Lucas and his yes-men) that it never got.
Most the Disney stuff, on the other hand, never had a chance. It all follows the principles of: design by committee, fan service, and rule of cool. There was never a vision for compelling story to be told…. Just dollars to generate.
MAGA is from the 2010s
Lived in a 1Br condo with one for 5 years. Didn’t have any major beef with mine.
Only issue was they didn’t allow anyone to install air conditioners in their units when I first moved in. Then they said they’d be allowing mini-splits soon, after which it took them 2 years to get that approved. Unfortunately they had designated locations where the condenser had to go, which for the unit I was in, was right next to the front door and kitchen window. I was all ready to purchase one until that detail came out…
Ended up toughing it out for the next year until I could afford to move out into a bigger house without an HOA. Now I’m happy to have full control over anything that goes on or through my roof, attic, and exterior walls.
Reminds me of Spicy’s first presser…. His tone and attitude had me immediately realize the next 4 years would be rough…
“Hello, my name is Trevor. I am a vampire and…”
I am a vampire and what? I am a vampire and… here’s a million dollars?
Because meat tastes good, and browsers don’t taste like anything?
The HomePod, on the other hand, is not slated to get the new suite of features, with the company holding off for a new “AI-powered table-top robot.”
Well that sucks. Siri on HomePod is dumb as hell and really badly needs an update.
As much as I couldn’t stand Alexa’s constantly trying to sell me things, I must say she was way better at actually doing what I wanted.

Doesn’t this just mean that now we can make models 20x more complex using the same hardware? There’s many more problems that advanced Deep Learning models could potentially solve that are far more interesting and useful than a chat bot.
I don’t see how this ends up bad for Nvidia in the long run.
