I like the way you think!
if all it takes to keep a developer improving their game is to hype it to the moon and then turn it into a meme when it releases then maybe we should do that more often /s
forreal forreal though these game devs are the shit and I’m grateful for all the work they keep putting into this
Super useful, thanks for sharing!
That is fantastic
This speakers are fire! That’s awesome
Choosing is not so much about whether it’s internet facing or not. From the programmer’s perspective and an administrator’s perspective there are pros and cons to both. As someone looking to self-host, if you want to run a service that works with either, I would make the choice based on what seems the most supported, or which one you feel the most comfortable looking up and performing administrative tasks on. I tend to use postgresql more just because I have more experience with it and can recommend it if that’s what you need, but mysql can be just as good or better in many circumstances. Pick whichever one looks easier to you.
It’s great! I ran Mycroft for years and this is such a better experience overall. I really love the ability to create custom sentences to trigger whatever. There are features I’m still hoping for like some kind of reminder things so I can finally drop google assistant for good. This is a great product for enthusiasts and signals even better products in the future as the ecosystem matures. It’s a good time to be interested in voice assistants.
Kissing the ring, like all the others
That bed sensor is looking awfully tasty, thanks sharing!
It’s wild that we’re getting two solutions in a couple days after a few years of nothing
If you liked this definitely checkout some of his other videos. At the level of work that he does you have to have a really solid model of reality and a lot of learned experience of how to measure and manipulate at extreme scales. He makes it look easy but this kind of thing really isn’t. Just a lot of fun seeing such a talented and educated person do a really neat demonstration.
holds hat to chest Rest in peace good Mycroft
I love that the wakeword is still one of the best we have, my kid will ask me one day why we say “hey Mycroft” and I’ll tell him “it all started with a raspberry pi and a Kickstarter”
I’m so excited for this! I was able to make an order. Homeassistant is making such a difference here. I was a Mycroft supporter and it’s so great that since they’ve gone away we’ve still got hardware in this space. This hardware makes so much sense too, I hope the voice train keeps rolling!
honestly curious, why the hell was this downvoted? I work in this space and I thought this was still the generally accepted advice?
also curious, buying new is getting too pricey for me
this is really dope! My psp was the best handheld I’ve ever had (and I’ve got a steam deck)
it could do sooooo much once it was hacked, I remember being in 2006 and switching between making calls and sending texts from skype, to emulating gameboy color, to trying all the homebrew games written in lua, to watching my tv shows, to playing AAA games, to browsing the web, all on one device that fit in my pocket. It made my friend’s razor phones look outdated. It was a smart phone before smart phones.
very happy to see it still getting some love
Looks delicious, I’ll give it a try one of these days, thanks for sharing!
