Getting rid of the NCR is ludicrous and is blatantly just Bethesda diminishing the creations of everyone who isn’t Bethesda.

3 and 4 are the worst stories in the series. Yet Bethesda seems intent on making them the main stories.

I am dreading seeing how they incorporate New Vegas given what they did to the NCR. I would rather that they not even touch it at this point

Watched 6 episodes and I think I’m done. It’s boring and very contrived and simply written. I’m not enjoying any of the characters or performances either

The prop and costume design is well done. That’s about it

Also, they erased the New California Republic despite setting the show in California. Not sure why Bethesda hates ideas that they didn’t personally create, but it’s very off-putting

There’s also murder and significant gore as well

They erased the NCR from existence and had contrived plot and cringe dialogue.

The diversity was a strength, though I’m not sure why the Pre-War United States was depicted as being highly jingoistic yet not racially segregated - which the United States was until 1964

Which doesn’t really make sense given how jingoistic and rabidly anticommunist the pre war 1950s United States is depicted as being.

Why would such a country ever end racial segregation, let alone permit LGBT acceptance? That would require a massive cultural shift, that is worth at least an entire episode of its own. Without such an explanation it just doesn’t really make sense

The show is fake and made up, and so are the games, obviously. But the racial and sexual acceptance depicted doesn’t really make sense. Obviously there’s no problem in depicted characters that aren’t cishet white men. But why would such characters ever be treated as equal in such a fascist depiction of the United States?

If that were true then the United States would have been communist by now
