I’ve found people who do one will manage the other with ease. But “oops! No ticket” is a canary telling me their commit log is going to be shit.
Thats an astute observation. I really cant refute that haha.

They are there for higher ups to bitch at in toxic orgs. Thats why they pester constantly; noone wanta to be bitched at.
Dont worry, they are unserious about actual results; they just care about the appearance of results that they can report up. Just start padding extra… Fucking story points…jesus… To each ticket. Now everyones charts look like their velocity increased. Dont worry, noone is actually measuring results.
On second thoughr… Is this a world we wanna save?
I get the message here for sure, but imo tickets (while important) take a back seat to a rich commit history. Ifbthe commit messages and history are high quality enough, one can tell whats up with the code sinply by looking at the log.
Tickets on the otherhand are in a secondary system. Of course, they can bind the work of multiple projects together. But honestly, has anyone ever been able to just reach the ticket history and know everything about a project without asking someone?
I guess thats enough perplexity ai for me
Both honestly. Very spaghetti, but noone can deny that it just works from a user perspective. Would I want to maintain the code? Hell no! Do use it as an end user? Hell yeah!
I bet the app requires cloud hosting for it to run, and its starting to eat away at the profits they made.
If it needs nothing but bluetooth, then this a pure money grab.
To be fair, its ikea. Its appropriate to have a truck there to carry a lot of furnuture back.
They have something called advanced security that can scan for things like secrets. It works on PRs though, so not very helpful if you have a public repo.
Visual tooks are great, but they all have their own idea of how to manage files commits etc. Understand the cmd line and then you will understand your gui tools. I use a little of both, depending on the task
Digg was reddit, and reddit was lemmy. This is back in like 08 or 09 i think. Reddit is only big because digg fucked up and everyone went there as the alternative
Its the only version of windows i ever had where the start menu of all thing stopped functioning. I had to restart. Wtf?
Things are much simpler now. Even little things. For instance error messages. They used to be cryptic as hell, but these days there is more of an emphasis on communication.
The only thing more complex is the volume of choice. There are just soooo many ways to do something that picking a way can be daunting. Its led to a situation where you have to hire based on ability to learn rather than ability with a specific toolchain.
Why is level cap hard to expand?
Thats the reality. Government should be acting as the counterbalance. Unfortunately while the goverment remains dysfunctional, corps are getting to do whatever they want. Its bad because once its done, its very hard to unroll it without affecting innocent people.
It started just text
I know rejection is scary, but its not reallyna reflection of you rather then a reflection of someones preference. You could be a greek god and still get rejected.
Keep trying, but in the meantime also focus on you. Do what you need to do to love yourself, and then the rest will follow
The only thing google search is good for anynore is recipies. Thebonly good product they make anymore is maps.
Duckduckgo isnt much better.
Its just a distraction meant to throw people off the smell of the real crimes they are committing. Call it the gulf of dogshit i dont care
