Every single consumer SOHO router is just a data mining security clusterfuck these days, brand is irrelevant. The only way to really get away from it is to run your own SBC or NUC with a wifi card and shit.

I don’t normally condone watching Linus Tech Tips but they have a good video on the Moore Threads GPU’s: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YGhfy3om9Ok
Also GN is a better source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPMptuEokPQ
They’re basically home-grown Chinese silicon that have pretty good looking raw performance specs at the cost of high power consumption, but have the most atrocious hacked together drivers that made them effectively useless. They’re definitely getting better as they learn how to write driver code for most games.
Nvidia hasn’t fumbled shit, they still know 80% of gamers buying new hardware will climb over mountains of dead bodies to get their hands on these cards and that their data center business will continue raking in money hand over fist. They don’t give a flying fuck what they price them at or how the launch goes.
if you have to put this much effort into just keeping a fucking power plug from melting (something that has been functionally solved since at least the 1970s), you have a failed standard that needs to be obsoleted.
Especially since lzma currently CPU bottlenecks on decompression for most computers on fast internet connections. Zstd can use the cpu much more efficiently.
3 sticky notes telling me to “go get that incremental backup working”,
2 separate external hard drives,
1 month out of date
I’m currently half way thru building a ZFS array using (5) 8tb Ironwolf Pro drives. I’m modelling and 3d printing a custom drive cage with brackets to hold them all inside the shitty Dell tower case I have dedicated to it. Hoping I can get it done sometime Sunday, I’m on V2 of the drive cage print and it takes like 8 hours to do lol.
Por que no Los dos?
You will own nothing and like it!
Nintendo, you don’t just get to file patents after a competitor makes a better product than you, and then try to use those to shut your competitor down.
Ahh, I didn’t know about that historical context. Thanks!
Gotta have some upload just for the protocol traffic tho.
1000% guarantee those mf’s had their upload choked to 20kbps
50gbps **shared line using passive optical splitters. Bit misleading there Chona, nobody is getting an actual 50gbps connection to their house.
Wasn’t the upside down us flag thing used by j6’ers? Are the line workers taking it back as the symbol of a stolen country for themselves, or is this Musk and crew indicating we’re fucked?
yar har fiddle de dee, being a pirate is alright to be, do what you want because a pirate is free…
$10 says they just copy his mod code, refactoring & obfuscate it, then sell it as remastered
Moisture activated. Needs exposure to air to cure, so it can’t actually “dry out” in the normal sense.
It’s more a problem of aggressive spam filtering- “big name” email domains will automatically ignore traffic from every email server thats not part of a known proven white-list, ostensibly to stop spammers from spinning up new domains every few minutes to keep sending mails. So any small service, including a self hosted option for email, often gets conveniently blackholed by the monopoly and are not usable.
Glue, sealants and adhesives in general are a massive part of the worldwide chemical industry and used in bulk by practically every single manufacturing process… it’s kind of wild how much of modern technology is basically dependent on “haha funny organic chemical be stickyyyyy”
