People read these?

Right?! At the end of the day, they’re still just people. Gotta eat, gotta sleep, gotta shit. I will never understand how any individual gets so much money/power/attention because they’re all just god damn people and in the event of a catastrophe i imagine they would be about as helpful as any other random human. They aren’t gods, and they certainly don’t deserve the stratification. It’s not like they’re enlightened or something, most of the time they’re just sociopaths who are rich, clever, and/or connected. When you get a glimpse under the hood at moments like this, it really is kinda jarring. Helps to dispel those silly presumptions about them at least.

Strider is one of my favorite arcade games. I love the graphics and the mood of the setting. Still holds up to this day, imo 😆

I’ll fix everything, first i just need all the money… I mean, if I’m not given all the money, what do you expect me to do? Just hang out with concepts of ideas?

Even the zucc himself 🫨

Good question! Frankly, i don’t know. I have a feeling there would be some way they’re protected in this arrangement since they’re ‘helping’ law enforcement but that’s far from even approaching legal precedent. I imagine questions like yours are going to be challenged in the courts as we move forward… 🫠

I strongly encourage everyone interested in this topic (and you should be!) to read the article because this shit runs deep and they see absolutely no problem approaching the law in this fashion. Absolutely disgusting erosion of liberty and privacy, though it’s not the least bit surprising. Here’s an excerpt i found particularly chilling–this cop is fully convinced (or acting as if he were) about the validity of this minimal-effort investigation they apparently were ready to arrest someone over. Note that weeks later it was fully disproven and ended with a terse email acknowledging that she provided enough proof to absolve herself as the suspect. No accountability for their mistake, just: “you can go now”
“You know we have cameras in that town. You can’t get a breath of fresh air in or out of that place without us knowing,” Milliman said to Elser, according to Ring doorbell footage of the Sept. 27 encounter viewed by The Colorado Sun.
“Just as an example, you’ve driven there about 20 times in the last month,” he added.
Along with the Flock footage, the sergeant told Elser he also had a video from the theft victim that allegedly showed Elser ringing the doorbell before grabbing a package and running away.
My favorite part
“I guess this is a shock to you, but I am telling you, this is a lock. One hundred percent. No doubt,” Milliman said.
😳
But Elser, a financial advisor, told the sergeant she had no idea what he was talking about. She asked several times to watch the video that Milliman insisted proved her guilt, but he refused to show her. And when Elser offered up footage from her Rivian’s onboard cameras to prove her innocence, Milliman said she could bring it to court.
“It doesn’t matter. I’ll be giving this all to you. If you are going to deny it to me, I am not going to help you with any courtesy,” Milliman said.
“It’s kind of funny because we have cameras on our truck, so we could show you exactly where we were,” Elser said.
We are really fucked here. No accountability on their end, while foisting 200% accountability on ours.

Hell, give em hydroxychloroquine–they know that stuff works lol

It serves nicely as an opportunity to remind onlookers that Trump avoided military service using his supposed ‘bone spurs’ as a reason he was unfit, though. Nothing like reminding these idiots that their tough guy is that tough

E. A. Sports. It’s in the shame!

According to the article, it is due to restructuring that has nothing to do with the spite layoffs being used by the Trump administration to punish Democrats for their unwillingness to support a dramatic 2x increase to healthcare expenses for Americans.
I saw that too!! I was googling about it for a while this morning, fascinating stuff! I enjoy the ways that they recommend introducing the character and house into a campaign etc in the Book of Artifacts, too. I think it’s cool they use real folklore to give the game flavor and interest.
I always enjoyed this aspect of D&D games: the creative, interesting enemies, places, and artifacts that you could find in some of the books/tomes.
In fact, i was able to find the exact book i was thinking of at archive.org! The AD&D 2nd edition Book of Artifacts: https://archive.org/details/tsr02138add2ebookofartifacts/mode/1up
Here’s one of my favorites from the book, though it’s been so long i really could do to give in another gander:

Ahhhh, it’s been at least 20 mins or so since i had a reason to say “Fuck Deloitte”
Fuck Deloitte
Fuckers deserve to rot

For instance: Volkswagen and Coco Chanel’s ties to Nazi Germany

He’s here a lot, does that count?
Zoiks! 😵💫 I know people keep saying “we’re cooked” but I think I’m actually starting to feel the heat lately
Toys R Us too 🤬
I fully agree! This is a perfect example of how true the cliche “variety is the spice of life” can be. Novel experiences are abundant when you’re young, but when you’ve “seen/done it all” life can become boring or perhaps feel like the movie Groundhog Day…every day the same routine, no change in schedule or behavior, no change in outcome or expectation. There’s certainly comfort in routine but i find learning and trying new things to be one of the most rewarding experiences as i get older.
