AI is the perfect tool to generate propaganda and fake-news on a massive scale for government and secret services. Humans may live in bubbles divorced from reality because of it. It also is the perfect technology for censorship, sentiment analysis/monitoring and thought-control automation.
Myanmar borders China in to its north and India to its west and is currently in a civil war. This would be the perfect battlespace for a proxy war between India, US vs China.
Demographics will play a major role in this: Younger median age countries will have more war and conflict, while the older countries can maintain some semblance of stability. South Sudan is a great example of this mechanism: This is why I also think this war will last 30 years, like the 30 years war in Germany 1618 that killed 50%+ of its populaiton.
During the first cold war conflicts happened outside of the super-powers:
This time conflicts will happen in Siberia, Africa and Middle east. I also think Indonesia and Pakistan will be center of major conflicts between China, India and the USA. These conflicts will costs some millions of lives, but not touch the empires heartlands, so it will not get nuclear again imo.

lemmy is okay
No. Banning any kind of link is bad. People should decide themself if they want to follow a link. Extensions like the firefox extension redirector even allow to redirect to archive websites directly, to preserve sources of knowledge while avoiding the mainstream platform of the link.
Yes, I mean all cultures created by humans, no exception exists, as you seem to imply.
[…] such that men comprise 95% of those convicted for homicide worldwide (United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime 2013). https://www.journals.uchicago.edu/doi/10.1086/711705
From my view males are to an extent biologically programmed to be right leaning and more violent, always have been. This is why they die in wars and crimes in male on male violence often and stand on top of hierarchies of physical power on average. This risk taking behavior might have positive side effects in case of victory as well. And lets not forget youtube was founded by a pure male team.
Human males are also more violent on average. They commit murder more often. I wonder why? https://www.journals.uchicago.edu/doi/10.1086/711705
Across all cultures, men are more physically aggressive than women.
In my view, instagram blocking Searchterm democrat for short times is kind of a shadowban … on all democrats
adding to this: youtubes audience seems male dominated. Males are “on average” more right leaning.
approximately 54.3 percent of YouTube male
Random slots, where random posts (age/upvote count does not matter) are introduced and marked as such could help in such a problem without complex systems.
The proportion of these random slots could be a user-setting.
Something similar to this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Random Does this exist in lemmy (backend) api?
