If you’re looking for a cheap good one, get those super cheap ones from AliExpress/etc. Imho these are soo much better than anything else you can get in the consumer space, and even some commercial ones because they are super responsive. The only downsides are that they’re relatively small so reading the display with a large bowl on top is a bit difficult and they’re probably not super accurate, especially with low loading. But that’s not really an issue for cooking. They take regular AAA batteries that last for ages and the thing costs like under 5€. I’ve had mine for like 8 yrs now and aside from a bit of liquid that got into the display it still works completely fine.

the obsidian-git plugin. Auto commits and pulls/push every x minutes. Works great for me, I get full version control and works on all my platforms (Linux, Windows, Android). You just need to be careful with your .gitignore and add at least .obsidian/workspace.json to prevent conflicts.

Certainly not. I just put in some data in an insurance broker thingy and I would be able to get insurance for approx. 120€/month with partially comprehensive coverage (including obligatory liability insurance). These outrageous prices are definitely a US thing.

I also remember services you could pay to get your captcha solved via a browser extension. You could also register as a captcha solver there to earn a few bucks stupidly solving captchas. Although I’m not sure if they were actually legit.

The thing is that many of these things just can’t be measured directly. You can use the information from the simulation to get a deeper understanding of e.g. some receptors (as was done), and use that information for something else. For example to optimize a binder for the receptor, or to manipulate the tonic signalling. But that’s then often a paper building onto the findings from the simulation.

There was this company doing something similar with CDs. They sold the physical medium and then let you download the ripped files and store the CDs at their place. In fact, you could just buy the record online and directly download a .flac from their website. And if you wanted, you could have the physical medium shipped to you.

Apparently that was legal, but they have gone bankrupt a few years ago iirc. They were called Murphies (idk about the spelling).

There are, but to use them as a replacement for NiMH/Alkaline cells, they need voltage conversion and typically have a built in charging circuit so you can charge then via USB-C for example. Theyre expensive, have a similar capacity compared to NiMH and can’t be charged in a regular battery charger.

On an other note, there are 1.5V lithium batteries (non-rechargable). They supposedly have a higher capacity and last longer.

And then there are 14500 Li-Ion cells that are about the size of an AA cell but run at 3.6V.

Look at the sensitive ones, often the cheaper ones don’t have SLS in them. They’re better but with some I still get issues if I don’t rinse at all. For reference, Aldi sells one around here without SLS and with fluoride.

Do they still have non-replaceable batteries? Better opt for something with standard Li-Ion cells
