Lol, I’m gonna say no as I posted in a technology news community in response to news about Tesla trucks not being tech news just by virtue of being Tesla or musk related. OP was not happy.
I don’t wear a watch but if it fixes the problem, might be worth looking in to.

Not to mention the right wing authoritarianism. You’re not alone in noticing. The theme song is great, though.
I think the point is that people didn’t directly vote for Musk but they voted for the policies that enable him. So they voted for him indirectly, by voting for Trump and Vance.
You’re missing the point. As digital exists, there is no supply issue. That’s solved. So there is no disc capacity or supply issue, as a result of that. Preordering is taking on their risk, not mitigating yours. Your risk of not purchasing is exceedingly low.
No, there is a finite amount, agreed. However, the cost of making and shipping is minimal in the overall production cost. If no they need 100, shipping 120 is easy. Any excess can be used for following weeks and months sales. The gamer doesn’t want to miss out, but the company is much more likely to take active steps to ensure they don’t miss out on a sale. In the age of digital, even if they did sell out, it can still be pirchaesed online. So, it is high risk, low reward to preorder.
So, while missing out on day one is possible, it’s extremely unlikely and so preordering is basically a free loan and handing over money before there is a chance to assess quality.
Ok, we’ll let’s keep the plane analogy. If they could run on 50% less fuel, would you invest in airline fuel companies, thinking they will be having bumper sales figures?
Yes, but if they already have lots of planes, they don’t need to keep buying more planes. Especially if their current planes can now run for longer.
AI is not going away but it will require less computing power and less capital investment. Not entirely unexpected as a trend, but this was a rapid jump that will catch some off guard. So capital will be reallocated.
Yes, there are, but minimal physical assets. That’s the point. They likely aren’t even enough to pay employees.
Misrepresenting their comments doesn’t help your case.
As an outside observer, you’re both being jerks, and you both have a point.
I don’t disagree. However using fake misattributed quotes is not the way to prove your point. I don’t know the history of the publisher. I am only passingly familiar with the game, more because of its success as a small indie.
However, the person saying they need a publisher seems to have read a book on it and has more information…perhaps they do need a mental health professional from a personal point of view. Perhaps they need a publisher from a professional point of view. Work life balance helps our mental health either way, whether they seek professional help or not.
Misquoting someone is disingenuous. Not only are you removing the context, but you are changing the meaning.
I think you’re missing the point. There are no physical assets. There is users and engagement. That can be used to push a narrative or to sell advertising. As users leave, neither works and there is nothing to sell.
Yep, international problems need international cooperation. If you don’t have a good relationship with anyone, your problems are your own to fix, alone. America gets a lot of its power from soft diplomacy. Trump is already ducking it up, with who, nato, israel, immigration.
People still don’t have houses or cheap food. So he’s only creating more problems, not fixing any.
Nah. Blahaj is also a safe space and well moderated without impinging on others enjoyment. Hexbear actively discourages other communities from participation, not with prejudice but with memes and childishness.
There are probably lots of great communities on hexbear but their bigger ones give a bad reputation to the instance in general. I’ve interacted with some great members in communities on non hexbear instances but for my instance at least, defederation was a net benefit.
If federation allows blocking communities, rather than instances in the future, that could change. However, currently it’s only on a per user basis, so it becomes tiresome.
I think it’s a valid point that the concern being raised about tik tok is just as valid with other apps, both from Facebook or Twitter etc and from overseas apps. People are happily giving up their data and don’t see a distinction in how it is being used for disinformation by different state actors. It’s all misinformation.
People are apathetic to the risk, but also don’t see the risk for foreign government snooping as significantly higher than internal snooping.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they require a game to be downloaded and played to count. I know on PS , if you have already downloaded, after purchase, a refund is less likely, so downloading likely triggers the sale to be complete, with payment to the seller. It could be similar for free games.
