I ran a modded server on an i5-4690K for about 5 people and never noticed any hiccups. The CPU was almost always maxed out due to other things (Frigate camera transcoding, Plex streaming, torrenting) and it ran fine.
How many people will be playing and will there be lots of mods?
Sorry - I wasn’t clear. I can’t seem to join any servers. Some comments mention changing the default server to “hex41.de” so I changed that but I can’t connect.
Maybe it’s since been taken down or something.
I tried looking into this and I’m having trouble setting it up, although I’m on linux so that might be my doing.

I loved Sacred 2! I remember save scumming to preserve my 0 deaths streak. I’d hit the power button on the Xbox before it could save, risking corrupting my character every time.

I retired mine with a 12600K and I’m not sure what to do with it now.
I was for a while. Hosted a LOT of stuff on an i5-4690K overclocked to hell and back. It did its job great until I replaced it.
Now my servers don’t lag anymore.
EDIT: CPU usage was almost always at max. I was just redlining that thing for ~3 years. Cooling was a beefy Noctua air cooler so it stayed at ~60 C. An absolute power house.
Not quite - He’s saying to mount the NAS under /mnt/ and to create a symlink under /home/ to go directly to /mnt/nas/photos
If you’re on KDE Plasma / Dolphin, this can be done here:

This will create a folder that goes directly to /mnt/nas/pictures, but you can put it anywhere.

I encountered a consistent CTD in that town about 1 minute after loading, every time.
If I manage to escape and try to return, I still crash.

Banning TikTok isn’t fighting China, it’s becoming China. It’s using the same “foreign interference” and “protect the children” line used by despots globally from Xi to Putin as they ban newspapers, websites, and anybody critical of their regime. “But China does it” isn’t the great defense people seem to think it is, we don’t want to do the same things China does.
China owns TikTok. They can sway Americans any way they want by promoting videos made to influence people. Imagine if China took over our entire entertainment and tailored it to exactly what they wanted us to see. What effect that would have in 5 years? 10 years?
