2 months agoMy daily use USB drive is a Transcend 256GB ESD310, it supports 10Gbps speeds and has been rock solid for me. Technically it’s an SSD and not just a “flash drive”. I use it both for portable storage and as a boot disk via Ventoy. It has USB-A on one side and USB-C on the other, both are 10Gbps.
It’s not just that it was useless to some people, it was a genuine security risk. OpenBSD’s port of Firefox has it disabled by default, and LibreWolf strips it out of the browser entirely.
