This is so much better than all text-to-video models currently available. I’m looking forward to read the paper but I’m afraid they won’t say much about how they did this. Even if the examples are cherry picked, this is mind blowing!

I have custom DNS filtering on my iPhone and the website looks perfectly fine. No ads or anything.
Gotta say that the very NON-tech savvy people I know had one of these reactions to the change:
That’s almost impossible.
They’re not gonna have a Windows situation with 2 settings apps, and they have no good reason to revert their changes, since it would be against the unification of the interface across iOS and macOS they’ve been pushing hard for years.
What do you mean by ‘fix’?
I haven’t noticed any noteworthy differences, by the way.
Well, I actually think it’s too big; so you can’t make everyone happy. 🫠
He probably wanted to do something too ambitious and feature-rich, and then could never finish it (sunk cost fallacy and all that); although many users would’ve already appreciated something simpler too, like the screenshot.
Same can be done without a mouse using ctrl+click on Windows and Linux (usually), or cmd+click on macOS.
Two-finger tap also works on mobile Safari.
I’m using Memmy, Mlem, Liftoff, Thunder and wefwef lmao
In theory, you should be able to build it yourself for Android. See their GitHub.
Not sure if it works well though. 🫤
Somehow there are 2 scammy-looking unofficial apps for ”Threads” on the top 10 in Switzerland (I don’t really understand what they are), and yet Memmy is nowhere to be found in the top 200. :(
EDIT: forgot to mention I was looking at top free apps in all categories; I can indeed find it #38 top free in “Social Networking”
By the way, you can’t submit a review if you’re currently using the TestFlight version (since complaining about bugs there is not fair and it’s a different version too).
Edit: maybe this is not true anymore, but it won’t let you review on beta software anyway
Haha, same here! I was so proud I knew what the title was referring to before reading the post. Lol
I do trust the devices on my network but I guess I’ll probably look into how to setup HTTPS.
As a workaround, on iOS you can choose per-app accessibility settings among which there’s font size. Does that not work?
I think Android should have something similar but I’m not sure.
I read this too quickly and missed the word “iMac”. I thought this was The Onion lol
There’s already a protest on Reddit. Marked as duplicate. Removed. /s
What about The Internet Archive? Search engines cache? Copies made by other people? etc.
This is a public platform; don’t share things you don’t want to be shared. You can’t truly expect anything being deleted forever everywhere.
I don’t understand this question. This is a public platform, there are no secret messages or info. What do you mean by privacy? Hide what from whom?
I can’t understand how the shadows and reflections are so accurate (not perfect, but convincing) like here or here.
