90hz screen with 180hz polling is what my phone uses as well, it’s nice that the deck has now caught up to that.
Also remember to leave your original deck on when downloading games on the new one so it can transfer them locally, which should be faster. There’s a setting for that, but I think it’s on by default.
It was already discovered that that was a big and game devs need to fix it manually for now.
If you’re bad at a multiplayer game, you’ll die a lot. That’s just part of it. Any good game will give new players a way to fight good players (TF2 has the anti titan weapons for example).
Poorly designed games will punish bad players for being bad (like unavoidable COD killstreaks for example).
SBMM is just a band-aid for a problem that lies much deeper.
The solution is simple: Create lobbies by ping and then split the teams by skill. I think titanfall 2 does that, I’ve been playing for a long time and if I meet another veteran, they are usually on the other team.

The 502 came up before even getting to checkout for me.
Didn’t get the LE because the server kept giving me errors unfortunately. I didn’t plan on upgrading so soon but the OLED seems to fix every issue I have with my deck. Better trackpad edges, slimmer bezels, a DPAD that allows overlap and some more cooling so it’ll probably be quieter.
90hz was what convinced me. I can’t believe valve put that into the fine print instead of the top of the site.

This part is hard but you need to push yourself through it. The worst thing that can happen is that no conversation develops and you have to do it again.
Another favorite of mine is walking around to see what different groups are talking about. If there’s a topic that you know about, just ask them if that’s indeed the topic of the conversation and if it is, you just joined.
If getting drunk around a campfire counts as a party, that ban needs an exception. If the bluetooth speakers are dead at 2am, someone pulling out a guitar is the best thing that can happen.

I’m tempted, the screen is 0.4" larger and that’s my main gripe with the deck. I’m surprised that it’s a bit faster and also a little annoyed because they wanted to keep the hardware around for a long time to make a stable target for game devs. Now that target will be the OLED and devs won’t care much about the old one, so early adopters will get more stutter later down the road.
If casual means relaxed to you, factorio. Their new controller integration is great. But be careful, it’s highly addictive.
I’d expect a developer to understand that. A stack trace works the exact same way.

1% lows below 30 is what I call unplayable. Consistent 30 is my absolute minimum.
In fact, 1% lows below 30 would disqualify almost any other game from even being rated playable by valve. But having cyberpunk run on the steam deck when it doesn’t run on a PS4 is a good sales pitch, so it’s clear why they verified it.
I wonder how different the list would look if it wasn’t verified.
60TB is a lot. My library almost fits on a 4TB drive, but I don’t play modern COD or Battlefield. All the huge AAA games nowadays are huge in storage cost as well, so it’s probably be possible to fill it all up.

I don’t get why cyberpunk is consistently that high on the list. It barely runs playably on the deck.
Unfortunately you need something with long firmware and software support. Qualcomm is your enemy, they stop updating the firmware of their chips after about two years and that’s why android phones often stop getting updates less than 2 years after you buy them.
