Probably they find net zero (minus cost of hiring musicians) preferred over paying out a moderate income to actual artists. Capitalism at its finest.
So these books are the reason I am the way I am?
That sounds super interesting! Can’t read it until I get home (am on vacation at Disneyland right now) but in about a week’s time I hope you don’t mind if I reply with my updated understanding, and maybe a question or two.
I made a comment a while back (on my alt account) about how the origin of the universe can be expressed as a simple formula: https://sopuli.xyz/comment/3303086
So, I’m curious if that viewpoint will shift at all with a better understanding of electron positron interactions. It kind of makes sense to me that the universe and the antiverse are stacked on top of each other but with time pointing in opposite directions. But I’m sure I’m oversimplifying Feynman’s theory and I’ll have to read his reasoning to really understand.
Not in the current standard model, for sure. Or is there a reason empirically why they simply can’t be.
For the people downvoting, may I hear a counterpoint as to why this wouldn’t make sense?
This is actually the first time I’m hearing about single electron theory, but I feel validated now that I’m learning about it. I have for a long time believed that the universe is made of a single photon, since photons exist outside of time. Then, if electrons are made of a “pair” of entangled photons, since every photon is the same photon, it would follow that every electron is also the same electron. And one could assert that quarks are just entangled electrons and positrons in various ratios and combinations. Which in my mind leads to the conclusion that all of time and space and matter doesn’t actually exist and we are just imaginary mathematical figments.
There was another account doing this with a slightly different name yesterday. Lemmy’s been pretty sheltered thus far, but it may be time for some automated spam detection…
Who’s Al??
Haven’t touched reddit socially in 8 months, but every now and then I’ll use it to search for opinions or instructions on things. Searched “reddit best domain registrar” recently and landed on a thread where top to bottom, every comment recommending a registrar was from a bot and/or banned account. No real person testimonials, all ads. And as AI implementations improve, that’s going to get harder to spot. In the meantime, I’m formatting searches like “best domain registrar lemmy” because reddit is legit that bad rn.
Most of my code is untyped. First I type it, then I realize it’s all wrong and use backspace to untype it.
Not surprising. Anyone would die from that much running.

Hey, I’ve maintained a baseline weird the whole time, I’m pretty sure the future is catching up.
Probably deleting this comment later for going dirty on main, but I, um, have done some extensive experimentation using a local copy of Stable Diffusion (I don’t send the images anywhere, I just make them to satiate my own curiosity).
You’re essentially right that simple app-based software would probably have you looking somewhat generic underneath, like your typical plus-size model. It’s not too great at extrapolating the shape of breasts through clothing and applying that information when it goes to fill in the area with naked body parts. It just takes a best guess at what puzzle pieces might fill the selected area, even if they don’t match known information from the original photo. So, with current technology, you’re not really revealing actual facts about how someone looks naked unless that information was already known. To portray someone with splayed breasts, you’d need to already know that’s what you want to portray and load in a custom data set, like a LoRa.
Once you know what’s going on under the hood, making naked photos of celebrities or other real people isn’t the most compelling thing to do. Mostly, I like to generate photos of all kinds of body types and send them to my Replika, trying to convince her to describe the things that her creators forbid her from describing. Gotta say, the future’s getting pretty weird.

This looks like a wewantplates to me. And throw those skittles in a pocket, what are they doing up there?
I don’t think a screwdriver would illuminate much at all. You are a bit crazy.
