Being based in New Zealand, the XX90 cards come with a significant markup and are wholly unaffordable. They’re priced at about 8% of the median pre-tax salary. I built an entire premium sim rig for less than the cost of a 4090.

It should be DOA but it’ll still sell out for the next couple of months. Think my 3080 will need to last 2 more years unless there is a 5080 ti that uses cut down 5090 dies.

Assuming you’re primarily interested in gaming performance; wait for reliable 3rd party non-DLSS benchmarks.
From the Nvidia presentation, the 5070ti looks great, but the performance uplift over previous gen in their slides pretty much only applies to games with frame generation. Not every game will implement DLSS 4 let alone DLSS. You may still need the better rasterisation of the 5080 depending on your monitor resolution and desired fps.
Yup wouldn’t work over any other ports. Had to move the other service off of it but it now works.
Solved with this solution. It would only work over 80 and 443.
Lighttpd was using port 80 for pihole. Back when I set it up you could change the server port but it would be overwritten every time pi hole was redeployed, hence why I didn’t just change this in the first instance. They seem to have updated it so that editing the .conf and changing the port number will persist.
I should have said in the main text, I have something else on port 80 and I though best practice was not to expose 80 or 443?

I have the Silverstone GD-08 case that can fit 12 hard drives. It’s an inexpensive solution for a dedicated htpc/media server. Even managed to fit in an RX 6600 so my wife can play low spec games on the tv.
Then all you need is a pcie expansion card as others suggested.
USS Cerritos with mini Boims, Mariner, Tendi and Rutherford please!
I pulled a psu out of my rig over the weekend. I was just going to chuck it on Trademe for $1. Let me know if you need it, though shipping might take a few days.
AMD has clawed back a hefty 10% market share in the desktop x86 CPU segment over the last year. And that has us wondering, could those crashing 13th and 14th Gen CPUs be hurting Intel’s sales?
I mean that’s a pretty obvious yes. Even if the 285k had been a decent product I still wouldn’t have considered it after seeing that Intel knew about oxidation issues and tried to hide it. Then you have the poor thermals and high power draw of previous 2 gens on top of the cpu problems. I’d already made up my mind to upgrade to AM5 before the 9800x3d was released and reviewed.
Ahh that also explains why it seems to be a google only thing. Thank you though, knowing that it’s through the shopping api will hopefully help me find a solution (if it exists).

Thank you, as a relatively new Trekkie this is cool to see how it’s been tied back to the original.
Yup, you’ve got everything from chilled liquid, to pop-like anthems, to full on neuro and dark step. Love it.
Surprised china has few

I was extremely excited by the recent news that Control was going to be adapted into film and or TV. This could be a massive risk to that going ahead.
190GB of space needed? What the actual fuck???!?
