Love the crossover!
Love the crossover!
Ah, my mistake. Confused them with Martia’s species.
And now I’m reminded that this is Iman, the widow of David Bowie.
The action sequences:
Plot-wise, it was originally intended to be a miniseries. Explains the wild jumps and lack of character development. Kurtzman is hopefully on his way out.
The Ocean’s comparison is spot on, minus the established charm.
Had I known of the Lilliputian’s limitless plot breaking powers or his wiry Irish accent, might’ve pegged him for the traitor prior to viewing.
Generically appealing, cookie cutter, storyboard by committee with just a touch of fan service… for that minty aftertaste.
I included Temple of Doom because of the barge chase scene. When I realized what it was, just couldn’t help but throw my head back and laugh.
From the trailers leading up, I was trying to figure out who would be the requisite traitor. Was still undecided between Alok (augmented human from the Eugenics Wars) and Quasi (Chameliod not directly referenced since Wesley’s fuzzy girlfriend). 2 strikes on that one.
Last note: Jamie Lee Curtis as the cybernetically enhanced human replacement for the maniacal AI. So, Control is now being used as a title á la Charlie of Charlie’s Angels. Obvious sequel bait, though I find it exceedingly unlikely to occur at this point. Bonus points for her latching onto 2 huge stinkers in short succession. Borderlands… still haven’t touched that one.
Adjust for hyperinflation.
That sort of thing never sets up properly until after everyone’s done scarfing and it’s finally cooled off.
That crust looks delightful. Have you got an interior shot?
Yeah, the article’s writer was really grasping at straws with this one.
I’d never considered Data to be an inversion, but rather, the analogous carryover from TOS. Much in the same way that Pulaski is seen as another Bones.
Regarding the main argument that B’Elanna is his relative equal at least has some teeth. For the most part, she rejects the need to have a particular connection to her Klingon or Human heritage. That part I actually like better then feeling obligated to being beholden to either… (cough, Worf, cough)…mi scusi. She draws upon both as needed, like in s6e14 “Prophecy”, where she goes along with the notion that her unborn child was to be heralded as the savior to a band of refugee Klingons. She’s an engineer at heart, and as such, is more pragmatic about what part her lineage plays in her life.
Regarding the franchise after the original trilogy:
“When?”
“All the time.”
It can relieve stress, while allowing room for growth and improvisation.
Very clean and consistent for birch. A nice batch.
Gorgeous craftsmanship. Is that fir?
Also, totally have that same cutting board.
Also some garlic.
